Senior Mine Planning Engineer. $162K - $134K. Multi-tasker?
Spreading your attention across multiple pits you will need to ensure that you continue to provide supreme attention to detail through all aspects of mine planning. A strong focus of the role is on optimisation of the mine plans that you develop to ensure production targets are met.
Beyond this; -
- Implement systematic changes and drive improvements
- Tie short term plans into the long term outline
- Report on site issues to Senior Management.
The 5/2 (corporate), 4/3 (site) roster offers the best of both worlds in that you will have the opportunity to develop mine plans then ensure that they are being implemented while on site.
While in the Perth office you will be working closely with the Long-Term planning team, enabling you to hone your skills. Answering directly to the Tech Services Superintendent you will act as his representative while on site. This experience will open up opportunities and choice of development through Tech Services or corporate roles as you move up the chain.

Needed are a Bachelor of Engineering and 6-8 years’ of post-grad experience. Experience across mine planning software also required.
