Senior Mine Engineer: Planning. $216K - $172K. Super soon?
The site is facing recent challenges with regard to grade control complexities and a sustained ramp up towards full production by mid this yea r. This role will suit a true planning expert who can implement improvements to planning systems and mentor the more junior Engineers.
The role will include; -
- Short to long term strategic planning using Surpac.
- Mentoring an initial team of 4 Engineers, building to 6-8 within 6 months.
- Key link between the relatively young team and the Superintendent of Mine Planning.
- Support for production as it heads towards 40K t/an.
The market is currently showing that Seniors that can put runs on the board when developing and mentoring Engineers are looked on very favourably at the Superintendent level and beyond.
The company have extensive exploration permits, exceeding 200km2, meaning there is a real expansion focus beyond the current 30 year LOM. Dual listed internationally and have funded $2b in capital investments for various projects. This in turn will create demand for experienced Mining Engineers at higher levels.
FIFO or residential option in a well-regarded part of WA. Generous housing allowance, private health care, salary sacrificing and bonuses of up to 15% all on offer.
Following your BEng (Mining) you will bring 6-8 years of post-grad experience. Expert knowledge of mine planning software is also essential.
