Mechanical Fitter / HD Fitter / Auto Mechanic

This company is one of the leading suppliers, if not the leading supplier, of specialised equipment in the state. Their clients industries alone make them an all-rounder, with gear hired and sold to oil and gas companies and contractors, mining companies, mari ne or maritime operators and construction operations!

They are continuing to grow their operations and as a result need to add key trades people to their team.

Some of this gear weighs in at 30,000 kgs and can be powered by high torque air motors, massive electric motors or powerful diesel motors. These power sources can be driving the equipment directly or through hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Naturally there is plenty of safety cut outs, engine protection and other auxiliary systems that support these. 

We are looking for either a qualified Mechanical Fitter or Light Vehicle Mechanic with exposure to fixed plant work.  Exposure to hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable as well as general fitting in inspection and repair in tasks such as bearing replacement, gearboxes and braking systems.

We are seeking a candidate that is after a long-term role that has the outlook to develop their career.  You will have a great work ethic and be able to learn new skills quickly and efficiently.  You will be a team player and exhibit good communication skills and attention to detail in your work.

The role is a full time position and the pay will vary depending on trade and experience.  Light Vehicle Mechanics may get between $24.00 to $30.00 Flat or Mechanical Fitter and HD Fitters may get between $30.00 to $36.00 Flat.  All these rates are permanent rates and you receive sick and holiday pay.
